We have two sources giving his final address as 'Abercelyn', Llanycil, Bala, North Wales. and both report he was a bachelor. But still waiting conformation on this information. Our reports say "He was a trustee of the Walker Art Gallery (part of which was Sudley House that housed many works collected by an earlier George Holt).

On a personal level he was a keen shot (he owned a pair of Purdeys) ,fisherman and expert linguist. He loved to roam the surrounding hills with his two Labradors.   George was at school in Lancashire."
