Listed in Dubrets Peerage as being married to Leigh Dent with issue.
5 Sept. 1870 The foundation stone of a new Wesleyan Chapel and School was laid
by J B. Palmer Esq., in the afternoon amid great rejoicings, on a triangular
site in St. John's Terrace. The building is calculated to accommodate 800
persons and it's estimated cost was £3,000.
5 June 1872, The Wesleyan Chapel, Jarrow was opened.
John Palmer died Newcastle Dec. 1843 25 205. the same year as John supposedly
married Leigh Dent.
